MY SUMMER ESSENTIALS!

Hey ya'll! Welcome back to the blog! I'm super excited to be posting again! I plan to post all throughout the summer and into the school year, posting whenever I can! Today, to kick off summer I thought I'd show you some of my favorite summer pieces including swimsuits and much more.

First, I'll start off with my favorite pool bag. The Bogg Bag has been a favorite of many, and I can see why. It's durable, functional, and stylish. I found this less expensive version, and my sister and I have been rocking them all summer so far.

To go along the Bogg Bag both my sister and I got these inserts to hold things such as sunscreen. I also added a couple of keychains to my bag as well. We got the inserts in the same color as our bags.

Next, are these SOJOS rectangle cut sunglasses. They are the perfect staple tortoise glasses for those sunny days. They are simple enough to wear with everything but add a little bit of flare to any outfit from the shape.

My favorite swimsuits this year have been from Target, the Xhilaration brand. The ones I love most are the scoop neck, square neck, and knotted tops. I wear mine with plain black bottoms as well as pink bottoms that you can find anywhere. Some of my favorite one-pieces are from Aerie. I've also seen some at Target and J.Crew as well.

To go along with swimsuits, my favorite pool and beach cover-up has been these tiered skirts. I have white, pink, and a patterned skirt. They are simple and easy to put on, but classy and cute to style with normal outfits. I pair these with a basic tee and some sneakers or sandals. The best part is not only do they serve as an incredible cover up, but they also are long enough to wear to school with our strict dress code. I'll link a similar one.

We love our Boggs, so we enjoy carrying our Packed Party cooler that matches perfect! We carry all of our snacks and drinks. It has such cute summer colors and stores all of our guilty pleasures with two compartments and a crossbody strap. As well as handles and mesh pockets on either side. They're many different styles, patterns, and colors.

I've just recently gotten into books these past few summers off of school. Some of my favorite pool and beach side reads have been A Place to Hang the Moon. I've also enjoyed a couple of T1D books such as Positively Type 1, Highs & Lows of Type 1 Diabetes, and Bright Spots & Landmines. I also can't wait to start reading The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy. For school my summer reading consists of The Village of the Dawn Treader. I also know my sister has enjoyed a couple of Emily Henry's best-sellers.

Sometimes, instead of wearing sunglasses I like to wear hats or just wear them with everyday outfits. My favorites have been this Aviator Nation look-alike from Mother Trucker Collection, also a pink smiley face trucker hat from Etsy. As well as another navy one with "North Carolina" stitched on it, also this raffia visor from the Target Bullseye's Playground.

The next favorite of mine are these Walmart casual dresses. They come in a bunch of colors, but they add a bit of flare with the butterfly sleeves. They are so easy to throw on with any shoes or accessories to complete any style outfit.

Next, these raffia slide sandals from J. Crew. I wore these for awards at school and they match well with casual and dressy, yet still give off the beach, costal vibe we're all wanting..

My last essentials are these basic tees and sweat shorts from Old Navy. They pair greatly together, but the shorts go with lots of tops, and another T-shirt is never too many.

I hope you enjoyed this summer essentials post and might ponder purchasing these warm-weather items!

XOXO,

Whitley♡
